Rocky Hill

A tiny historic borough on the Millstone River, known for its preserved village streets, neighborhood parks, local dining landmarks and easy access to Montgomery Township and the Princeton area.

Rocky Hill, New Jersey

Welcome to Rocky Hill

Rocky Hill is one of Somerset County’s smallest municipalities: about 0.61 square mile with 743 residents in the 2020 Census. Settled in 1701, the borough developed as a village along the road between Princeton and New Brunswick and remains notable for its compact historic streetscape.

Municipal boundaries: Rocky Hill directly borders Montgomery Township and Franklin Township. Nearby Princeton addresses and Route 206 businesses are not automatically inside the borough, so NJTGO keeps municipal boundaries explicit.

Visitors should check current borough information before expecting normal public-library hours or services at the building.
